About HHH

Holistic Horse Help was founded in 2007 by Veterinary Physiotherapist and Equine Behaviourist Sue Palmer. Described as ‘inspirational, enthusiastic, informative, friendly, calm, understanding, supportive’, Sue's expertise allows her to help you and your horse, whether the issue is caused by ‘brain’ or ‘pain’. With over 30 years of experience with horses, her unique skill and knowledge base enables her to offer a holistic treatment approach to either physical or behavioural issues, or the combination of both. Based in Stafford, Staffordshire, Sue works freelance offering a variety of physiotherapy and teaching techniques including individual and group sessions, courses and demonstrations. From a routine physiotherapy ‘back check’, to solving loading issues, to teaching the Horse Owners Massage Course, Sue will look at the whole picture to support you towards achieving your dreams you’re your horse.

Sue Palmer

Equestrian Experience
Sue has owned and ridden horses since she was 3yrs old, competed through Pony Club and Riding Club to a National level and in affiliated competitions, in dressage, show jumping and eventing, winning the National Riding Club One Day Event Championships. Further experience includes training point to point racehorses and having her jockey’s license, teaching in a BHS recognized riding school as well as freelance, and running her own yard (please note that Sue no longer has her own facilities as she prefers the flexibility of working freelance). Working with a horse dealer for many years and visiting horse fairs throughout the UK has given her an interesting and unusual perspective of the horse world.
Sue’s Equine Family
Sue has 3 horses of her own. Her homebred mare Brown’s Morning Star (Polly) is on permanent loan to Kat, a former student, in Christmas Common, Buckinghamshire. Her rescued pony The White Prince (Bones) is on permanent loan to fellow IHRA Sandra Williams, based in Lacey Green, Buckinghamshire. Belvedere (Bell), is a 16hh Shire x TB mare. Sue and Bell enjoy training and relaxing together in the outstanding scenery of Cannock Chase, Staffordshire.
Inspiration
Sue has studied with and worked with many great horse people, but particular inspiration has come from Monty Roberts (Sue is a holder of the Monty Roberts Preliminary Certificate of Horsemanship, and is team physio on tour with Monty Roberts in the UK), Mary Wanless (Ride With Your Mind), and Pennie Hooper (Sports Massage for Horses). She is also studying Equine Touch, a non-invasive form of bodywork with horses. Sue would particularly like to thank her husband Simon Palmer (www.into-the-lens.com) for his constant love, support and encouragement of her work.
